"Facilitating the knowledge transfer process through an efficient use of technology" |
|
 |
| InXstream Technology |
|
InXstream is Inspot's media management tool. It enables content developers to create, edit, publish and store digital media assets. This material can be accessed via a PC, telephone, smartphone or pocket PC by students and employees. Inspot currently offers this technology as an application service provider (ASP) software service that can be integrated with any database-driven content or knowledge management solution.

|
| InXstream Supports: |
- ColdFusion, ASP, Java, PHP. InXstream can be integrated with applications built in database-driven applications.
- Macromedia Flash MX, MP3, Windows Media and Clipstream Java streaming technologies.
- Windows Mobile 5.0 OS for Smart Phones and Pocket PCs
- XML. The system allows developers to create applications by also importing external data stored in web-standard XML files.
- ISE Web Editor. Inspot's ISE editor enables content developers to also embed text and images and upload and provide web access to documents in Microsoft Office and PDF formats.
- ActiveX. We can customize the tool by using ActiveX controls to control display of the content and streaming formats and settings.

| Asynchronous versus synchronous communication: |
|
If a training solution requires live communication, we use synchronous communication tools. Macromedia's Communication Server is one of several excellent technologies for this type of solution, and we recommend its delivery services for intranets, chat rooms, instant messaging and the live classroom.
There are however, situations where services need to be delivered over the Internet across secure networks, allowing the creation, editing and publishing of quality content. With InXstream technology:
- Content creation and editing does not require streaming, not dependent on bandwidth.
- Communication between secure networks is possible, reliable and robust. The technology is NTLM compatible for Proxy Server (ISA Server) configuration requirements.
- There is no limit in the number of users and simultaneous audio publishers.
- Content editing is done on the client machine, not the server. Creation and editing is faster and reliable.
InXstream is currently used in
- E-learning
- Assessment applications
- Online - telephone survey tools
- Dictation-transcription workflow management systems
